Dunhill Hotel
237 N Tryon St., Charlotte, NC 28202
Overview
The hotel’s history has allowed it to become a member of the Historic Hotels of America® program, which celebrates the country’s finest historic hotels. It’s also one of the very few historic landmarks in Uptown Charlotte. Additionally, a special source of pride for the property is that you’ll find nearly 100 original paintings by the late Philip Moose, a 20th century North Carolina painter who served as the hotel’s commissioned artist.
The European-style hotel continues to celebrate architect Louis Asbury’s original vision, all while serving the needs of the modern traveler. You’ll find a unique level of elegance, without being overtly opulent. As a 60-room boutique hotel, The Dunhill is an intimate Charlotte getaway.
Each room is luxuriously appointed with fine bed and bath linens and features a writing desk and armoire. Enjoy fine marble bathrooms with Beekman Collection bath amenities, robes, and evening turndown service with fine chocolate. Of note is the Penthouse Suite–one of a kind in the city–featuring two step-out balconies with a cozy bistro set to enjoy stunning Charlotte views.
Be sure to stop by the on-site restaurant, The Asbury, for traditional Southern dishes with a nod to the area’s cultural diversity.
